The Mirik Rangbhang Valley Homestay Owners’ Association (MRBHOA) confirms that Royal Homestay, located in Pahlia Gaon, Mirik Busty, is the oldest homestay in the Darjeeling region. Initially known as Kancha Gurung’s Guest House, it has been hosting guests since the early 1980s, with the first recorded guest visit on May 21, 1990. MRBHOA takes pride in validating Royal Homestay’s title as the ‘Oldest Homestay’ and wishes the family continued success in their tradition of village hospitality.
